About 6 years ago I took this coin, an East German commemorative 10 Marks, out of my album so I could photograph it for a topic on CCF.

It was rather a dull day, and I just couldn't get a satisfactory photo indoors under artificial light, so I took the coin outside and photographed it on the table that stood on the wooden decking in my garden.

After taking the photo, I dropped the coin, and it fell between two slats of the decking. I had to unscrew two sections to retrieve it, but it didn't appear to have suffered!

Since then I've replaced the decking with a concrete patio, which might cause more damage to coins but they wouldn't slide between the slats if I dropped one!
