I found a 1937 Lincoln Cent with an error in "liberty". It says "libertv" instead of "liberty". Is this a common error?

Welcome to the forum. We have quite a few Lincoln experts here as well as variety and error experts on board for all denominations. I will have to defer to them.

My amateur opinion is post mint damage, since everything seems a little distorted. It almost looks like someone was experimenting with "moving metal". Again, wait for the experts to chime in.

Enjoy your time with us.

I was just curious because the "V" doesn't look anything like a "Y".

Thanks for the input.
