I am currently trying to build high grade and prooflike NGC Grand Duchy of Finland markka coin sets. These coins are going for grading in May. I have acquired these coins during 2019 (maybe one or two were in 2018 December). I am not expert in grading but just for fun I'll post my guess what grade coin will get. I'll post NGC grades later when I get these coins back. 1874 S Markka I am sending this coin for conservation. I hope for high grade and that eye appeal can be improved My guess MS65   1874 S Markka II Hoping for PL designation for this coin My guess MS62   1890 L Markka Hoping for high grade. My guess MS66   1890 L Markka II Hoping for PL designation. I might send this one also for conservation. My guess MS65   1907 L Markka Hoping for high grade. My guess MS66   |

You have a beautiful set of this type. Wow!
I once had the commonest date in an MS grade (though I never had it graded), and understand the eye appeal of this type (at least to my eye!)
I wish you the best on the results.

There are 2 more auctions left before May. If I get more markka coins from auctions I'll post on this topic.
After I get coins back from grading I'll post grade and slab pictures.

Won this one today. 1893 L Markka. It will also go to NGC. One more auction to go. My guess is MS 65   |

Last coin and now I can finally send this patch to NGC when this coin arrives. It took few weeks more time but I had to see if I can get this coin. And I did! 1865 Markka. My grade guess is 64.   |

Almost forgot to upload this coin, 1907 Markka. I have already NGC MS65 1907 markka but I hope this one will grade MS66. In this patch there are two 1907 markka coins so maybe one of them will be MS66 (or better). Anyways my guess MS66   |

Nerve-wracking part is over. My coins are now in NGC Europe office where they will continue to US for grading. I sent coins via Finland post office which cost me 19,50 €. I was going to use DHL for my shipment but when I looked at "discounted" price it was 99,50 € so normal post office shipment was my choice.

Update: Coins are now scheduled for grading. Timeline so far: 06.19 Sent from Finland Post Office to NGC Germany 06.24 Arrived at NGC Germany 07.08 Scheduled for grading at NGC Sarasota, Florida Here is full list of coins that are graded. There are couple coins that I didn't mention 3x 1915 markka and 1907 markka since I didn't take pictures of those coins.   |

, Two were 1915 markka coins. But whole submission wasn't complete failure because of one nice surprise. Overall I need to make more effort to be more accurate on grading and to spot cleaning. Apologies for picture spam here are results:
