How do you know difference from regular strike to a proof coin thanks in advance

not much actually, proof normally have better fields and definition due both the coins and the dies not being worn. Might need some experts to chime in as the proof that I have seen don't see much different to regular or business strikes, however I know that the many had paper bags/envelope when issued.
