Hi CCya
Interestingly enough, I was just thinking about this coin the other day !!
I think I like the inhand photos better, I hope they do the coin justice, as far as the colors being true.
My opinion has not changed on the coin, I believe it is a bit undergraded.
Nice Walker, She's beautiful !!!
Thanks for sharing the pics with us !!

These are both stunning coins. I have owned a few 1799's ,but nothing as pretty as yours! I have a few MS66 Walkers and that series is stunning in high grades. Great stuff!!! Congratulations. Mike

Very nice coins. I like the in-hand photos of the 1799 much better. The coloring is breathtaking. Also a very nice Walker. The 1799 obverse looks like a strong VF25/30 to me. The reverse looks like a lower grade, but it's hard to tell with these since so many of them had weak reverse strikes. Are you going to get it graded or leave it raw?

Thanks for the thoughts and comments . The 1799 resides in a PCGS VF35 holder . The coin in hand photos are a true representation of the coin . Albeit , the collector that took the pics said it was one tough coin to shoot . I think, had the auction photos bin more like the coin in hand photos , the hammer price would have bin stronger . IMHO

it looks like the auction photos are scans, is that correct? That is one reason that I always photograph my coins instead of scanninning them, it is just so much more accurate than a scan.

They need to invest in a better photographer then, that "picture" is exceptionally flat, it does the coin no justice!
