It's a very nice counterstamp. Although, it's not an error. It was intentionally done after it left the U.S. Mint.

Nice counterstamp. I believe that one was done by The Littleton Stamp and Coin Co.

I didn't think even Littleton stooped that low, but I guess I'm not surprised.

Coinfrog... I recently purchased a medium sized counterstamp collection. The seller said that they all were received from Littleton. All the usual suspects were there (Kennedy, the sports ones, their Masonic version, Lincoln smokes, etc.) as well as an I LOVE YOU heart cs. I don't have the hard proof of a Littleton envelope as of yet.

Don't let the counterstamp pre occupy you! Check that reverse to see if it's an RDV-006!
