This was the second auction win of the day. I posted this one for some honest evaluation and opinion. There is a post on here of a Capped Bust Dime pertaining to the topic of cleaned coinage. This one falls under that same topic.

Continuing said discussion, I believe this one to be cleaned. Dipped most likely, and signs of light rubbing with a cloth. The seller lists it at extra-fine, yet looking over the closeups it most likely would grade au details. I bought this based on two factors. Eye appeal and a low mintage (third in the series- lower than the key date '34s). For thirty-five dollars it is well worth that. A sleeper if there were one in the Peace series.

So what do you think?

Paying 2x melt is pretty solid. I'd say you got a decent deal

That's about right, maybe slightly on the high side.

There's not an ounce of silver there.

Price looks fair. XF details sounds right, maybe AU.

If your inclined to take the risk of losing it, making it a pocket piece for a while could rehab the coin to an acceptable straight grade
