Nice color, tough date, right on the VG/F line.

F-12 ,a couple of cuts on obverse . Reverse is very nice for the grade .

Left stalk has barely a third of lines, and right stalk maybe half. Better obverse, but this is just a VG coin that would not, and should not, bring Fine money.

It is a VG. But....that coin has very nice eye appeal and good color with no major distractions for the level of wear. So by today's market grading standards it could slip into an F12 if graded professionally (which for a $40 coin it needn't be).

The eye appeal here is average, not great. Late die state. I will happily pay full regular submission fees to PCGS or NGC if this comes back in a Fine holder. Okay, safe bet.

And the debate still goes on . Is it VG-8 or F-12 . But I think the eye appeal is decent enough to warrant a VG-10 grade on the 2nd time around viewing this coin .
