Hello everyone. Hope I'm in the right place for this question. I'm not sure how these kinds of coins are made or valued, so can you coin guru's please help. I picked this one up for my son fore he is a spidey fan.please tell me where to look up value if there is a place for this? Also are these type of coins stamped over real Morgans? Or are they copies? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

$2200 if it was a real Morgan. If it is real silver it is worth the going silver value. $10 on ebay. John1

Those are "Made in China" massed produced novelty coins. They come with many different designs. Most likely silver plated cupro-nickel. Probably worth a couple of dollars.
Update- I just looked up the selling price for these "Hobo Morgans" They are going for $1.73 each

There is this artist on instagram named Roman Booteen, that does intricate "hobo nickel" type coins from Morgan dollars and other coins, as well as zippo lighters but that shown in the picture wouldn't be one of his originals, which would cost you thousands and be one of a kind. People have bought his work and had copies made to sell to others to make a buck or two off it. I don't know if he ever did a spiderman, but he does get commissioned to do things for people from time to time, it could be his artwork he likes to leave the date and the wording on the faces on a lot of his stuff. If you paid under $10 for it, it's the knock off, can also check if it's 90% silver, if it's not, its the knock off.

I paid more than 12, but not an embarrassing amount. It's for my sons birthday. I've mentioned he likes spidey but he loves venom.I would like to find one like that. If its not worth much it will be ok. He will appreciate it anyhow.thank you all for your help. I guess I did this kind of back a**wards huh? Next check on about the coin before buying! Check! I am going to check out the hobo coin artist though, intrigued I am. I love the oddities. Unique is my bag baby! Ok I'm done ,lol thank you all again and thank you for accepting me into the fold. Especially with how 'unique" I am

PamV If you bought for your son and he enjoys it, overpaying is not such a bad thing.

Unrelated, but next time you see someone use air quotes scream TICKLE FIGHT! and point at them. Their expressions are great. Head tilted sideways and a big question mark drawn in crayon in the center of their forehead. (like a dog hearing a silent whistle). That could be a token series, 2020 Confusion set deep cameo. Have wonderful day all.n

Agree 100% with JimmyD. Seeing many of these and the colorized versions at coin shows or online isn't a bad thing. With exception to the mentioned Morgan, if real. AHHHH! Anyhow, "coins" such as this more often than not lead younger people into the hobby we enjoy. And that is a great thing.
