This company does a pretty large volume on ebay, most of it on raw coins. I have a very limited experience with them that has been positive. I have not been able to find any link here concerning others' experiences. I would appreciate any thoughts.

groganking,

I have not purchased from them (most of their offerings close a bit out of my price range), but I have seen their listings for years. They offer some beautiful coins. One thing has always sent up a little flag in my head though ... why aren't these coins slabbed by one of the top three? I'm not a big proponent of slabbing, but on the high end I think it's necessary to assure authenticity and that the coin has no problems (i.e., cleaned, artificially toned).

I would recommend you review feedback from past buyers. If you see any indication that the coins may not be "problem-free" I would avoid them. If you want to take a chance, check out their return policy and any negative feedback about exercising that policy. Good luck.

Dave

Thanks for the response. They do run higher end auctions on raw coins and it does give me pause that they don't slab more of their coins. I believe that slabbing is a necessary evil for higher end coins on ebay since cleaning is something that is not always readily discovered from photos (not to even mention authenticity). If I have any more experience with them, I will pass it on.

I bought a Buff from them, but in hand it didn't really look nice as in their auction picture. This could be a personal preference. I ended up returning the coin and they refunded full price + s/h. They have a good return policy.
