The only controversies surrounding the Equality coin have been generated by the media and the Mint themselves. Nobody else cares.

The advance email from rep said the Queen V coin was a commissioned coin, kind of answer the quick sell out

With no inside knowledge, I bet I could guess who it was commissioned by.

And don't forget the controversy regarding the Equality coin. There was no other coin in recent memory that had so much media coverage

Thank you for update!!
Unless RCM's mail (or banner), I wouldn't know, that the coin exists.
Somehow media haven't reach me

The diamond coin, Fire and Ice, is now awaiting stock at RCM. Unlike the QV coin, CC&C have only a few of them left. Clearly not a commissioned coin like the 5 oz QV.

Diamond coin - Mintage 750 for 2/3 oz of silver and an unspecified size of diamond for $700. The copy suggests it is pitched as a Mother's day gift.
3oz Silver incuse Maple Leaf Mintage 2,000 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Gold Maple is Awaiting Stock
1oz Gold incuse Maple Leaf Mintage 350 commemorating 40th anniversary of GML is Awaiting Stock
and the Vicky 5oz mintage 1,000 is Awaiting Stock.

From a small release, this must be seen as a success by the RCM. Four of the eleven items released are on the verge of sell out, regardless of the channel. None of the coins appealed to me but it is good to see a high level of uptake.

It will be interesting to see how long the rest of the coins last when generally available.

I can live with this approach... a small number of lower mintage coins issued and we can forget the product flood of 2013-2017. If this stands, we may even see secondary market values retain a value closer to issue price.

The diamond coin will not be shipped until May23rd. Hmmmmm....I thought the story behind it was about the artist's mother. So, I will not be able to get it by mother's day.

Another coin has become "awaiting stock". It is the 5 oz Big Coin, Silver Reverse Gold Plated, 50 Cents Coat of Arms coin.

That is the only coin I ordered. Since it was over $500, I got a free case and $50 off.

The St. Lawrence Seaway coin is interesting. I would probably buy it in a regular 34mm or 38mm format, but not with the ruffled edge in the May release (looks like a gimmick rather than a coin).

Just my Two Cents worth...

Yes
The edge is interesting but with so much going onto the design - iincluding Montreal - overwhelming, not to mention the price

It's strange that I can't seem to find the new diamond studded coin on the RCM website
