Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for sharing your knowledge with coin community.
I have been a coin collector for 20 years, First 10 years or so I focused on US silver coins and amassed a hoard of random stuff that had no focus. I sold most of it during the 2011 silver price run up as it had multiplied many times over what I paid for it just in silver value. I took a few years off from collecting but around 2013 I found myself liking the variety of world coins and bought examples of crown sized coins that while fun to show off it still didn't fill my need to build a complete set of something.
Around 2015 I started buying up Libertads when I found good prices on them and by the end of the year I had the full date set in MS coins and the next year I built another full set... through my buying and selling I met a guy who asked if I collected the proof versions and I had not since I saw how rare some were and thought I didn't want to sink that kind of money into modern rarities, I bought one just to have an example and then bought a reverse proof and from there I was hooked.
Since 2017 I have focused solely on libertads and have built relationships with some of the other larger collectors that has helped get me a respectable set of both proof and UNC libertads including varieties that currently only lacks 8 coins, those 8 coins are extremely rare and many sets in the top 10 of NGC's registry are missing a few of them. I also lazily collect US type coins in a Dansco 7070 with a lot of the coins being from my earlier collecting days... it only needs a few coins to be complete but I'm in no rush.
Thanks again for sharing the information you guys have about your coins and if anything I can help with in the Libertad department please feel free to ask and I'll gladly share what I know.
Chris from NY

Thanks for the welcome all!
BStrauss3 I do have an example of each type of 2 and 5 oz coins (MS, Proof, Reverse Proof & antiqued) but probably won't try the full set of these as I have my hands full currently with my 1 Oz NGC registry set. They are beautiful coins and I'd love to build a set but I think I'm going to start on something in gold for my next collection.

I'm still a little bit of a greenhorn posting pictures but will try and get some up sometime soon... my sets are in NGC's registry and are set to public, currently I'm at 13th in UNC and 16th in proof but hope to be top 12 in proof with my next purchase and into the top 10 with one more. If you do check out the registry make sure to look at the #1 and #2 proof set, they are hands down the nicest full sets ever put together ..and even more amazing is they belong to the same person.
