Very few people actively collect modern (post-1964) large note bills - it's just a lot of money to tie up. They are a rare sight now that the large portrait and colorized bills have been in circulation for a couple decades, but older bills aren't rare enough to warrant demand above their face value. Of the few people who collect $20 $50 and $100 bills, they are willing to pay a little extra for something genuinely special, like a star note and/or fancy serial number. I wouldn't ever recommend that anyone keep old bills with a mind to future gains - with just a few exceptions, you'd be hard pressed to find an example of a bill made after the 1950s that would have been better to keep than to invest.
