You can find current melt value of many types of coins at Deleted004.com. As for collectable value we need dates mint marks and grades.

Coin values is saying
G-4-11$ VG-8-12$ F-12-13$ VF-20-14-15$
Hope this helps. The price of silver is down right now so you might be able to get them for less.

$5 to $6 tops. Common dates in the 40's even in Fine+ are bullion so multiply the current silver spot price by .3617 and if you buy from a dealer add in a bit for profit margin.

I've noticed some shops have not, as yet, lowered their prices to coincide with the silver price too !.......

I noticed the same thing. I was at a Flea Market yesterday and noticed that most of the silver coins were still priced like silver was still $20 an ounce. I am sure a lot of dealers bought when silver was high and now they are trying to recoup their losses.

Common date walkers are plentiful ,,unless you just want to pick up a few to have laying around ,,I suggest that you buy these coins in the AU-BU range .
shop around for the deals on the lower grades 6 to 8 dollars is where they should be right now anything above that is to much for F grades and below for the common dates .

As noted the going rate is very versatile. I've seen really bad ones for about $4 and there is almost no limit on others. Of course if you find some in change, they are only $0.50 Although that hasn't really happened to often lately. Best thing to do is get a book like the Red Book for a better idea of dates, mintages and way, way overpriced amounts.

The most important thing about your question is if your buying or selling. The dealers prices for you are depending on numerous things. Some are the way you dress, the way you talk, the way you ask, what your looking for, the color of the sky, your shoe size, etc. If you are planning on selling some Walking Liberty halves, again the amount is based on who you sell to, how much they want it, where you sell it and many, many other things. Remember there is no manufacturers recommended list price on a coin. There are numerous price guides on coins and they are all based on pure guess work but are supposed to be based on the current market value. And that is just a guess.
