The 1949-S roll had a couple of coins of interest in it. I posted the RPM-001, and here is a DDO-001 "blunt 4 over pointy 4". Also was a really nice RPM-006 but I can't photograph everything.
Coop has in the past made a pretty good argument that this is not so much a doubled die but a re-worked date. I am mostly in favor of his analysis, but for now it is a listed
DDO and
CherryPickers Guide variety.
I missed a cherrypick on one of these only about a week or two ago, but then this one drops in and so got it covered! This upgrades the one in my collect by a fair bit. And interestingly, there was another of these in the roll but appears to be about three or four die stages later than this one. I need more time to look at that other one and see what is going on there as there are three very similar DDOs listed for this year.
