1937 Canadian $1 Bill Odd Prefix - Coin Community Forum

CuriousCoinRitz New Member Canada 25 Posts	Posted 05/05/2019 12:27 am Hey y'all I have a 1937 Canadian dollar bill in excellent condition, I think it's uncirculated, as it's in cases in thick plastic. I've been trying to find information on it but for some I can't find any with the same prefix as mine, which is KN. The signatures are James E Coyne and graham f towers. New Banknotes designs were issued in 1954. throughout George VI the same desin was used What the dates DBM refers to are when Coyne was the Deputy governor of the Bank of Canada and Towers was the governor of the bank. walk2dwater Pillar of the Community Canada 2571 Posts	Posted 05/05/2019 10:50 am Re: the signatures & 1937 $1.00 notes printed* (approximate figures provided by GPM31 by Charlton): 50,000,000 banknotes were printed with Osborne/Towers signatures; 472,840,000 banknotes were printed with Gordon/Towers signatures & 249,568,000 banknotes were printed with Coyne/Towers signature combinations.
