Ever find one of these? Apparently they're considered novelty coins, or magicians coins because the mint says it's impossible to produce one of these at the mint. It does have a dull "thud" sound it makes when I drop it on the table.

Still, maybe I could win a couple bets with it? Anyway, thought I'd share...

Here's pics ... you can tell there is a pretty good ridge on one of the obverse's ...I guess this is the seem where someone joined the coins?

Jwalter, very neat find! And the ridge you see is the seam, where the coins were jointed together.

@1962 - Yeah, I've been hunting rolls as I'm starting a Jefferson nickel collection and trying to pull whatever BUs I can from circulation before I start filling in the earlier dates.
