Hello a while back my boss brought me this coin to look at for him when I first started getting into collecting and learning about coins. It's always been in the back of my mind. It's in his safe so all I have are these 2 (probably not the greatest pictures) it's likely it could he PMD but I'd stI'll like to hear your opinions and if it's worth it I can get him to bring it out again for further details and will most likely help him to sell the coin

Okay thank you I just had never seen anything like it to I wanted to check. While I have you here what's your opinion on this?

The Dime also shows Post Strike Damage ( PSD) as well. Looks like it was squeezed with pliers, as you can see the teeth marks.

Also post mint damage IMO.

It looks like it was put in a shear that wasn't strong enough to cut it.

One type of damage that looks like that, happened when uncirculated coins were put into cellophane for mint sets and the like. If the coin was under the spot where the cellophane was being sealed something like that would happen to the coin. Not really worth anything extra but it seems to have happened often enough.
