Is this a new service offered or an old one.

This is the first time I have seen this type of holder.

Doesn't much matter since the old PCGS currency doesn't exist any more.

The PCGS gold shield currency is what the international offices grade currency as. While the USA PCGS currency doesn't exist anymore unless something has changed in the last couple months the international offices still grade it under PCGS Gold Shield

It's not the same for coins though

International offices still grade paper money under PCGS? Sounds illogical. You sure?

Yes, Paris and Hong Kong do for sure and China probably as well but no one is submitting from outside of China there.

Both have tabs for banknotes and the announcement about PCGS currency in the US specifically stated they would continue to grade banknotes in the international offices which was a different brand.

Thanks for that. Apparently Jason's new Legacy brand will create even more questions than I thought.

Yea that whole license was a bit of a mess of an idea from the start. I would think eventually the US PCGS will get back into the grading game for notes but they want to do it properly if they're going to do it.

If Legacy overcomes the re-grading of its massive often-overgraded PCGS inventory and survives to build a new customer base, I would be surprised, honestly. This will take very deep pockets.
