1983 D Lincoln Cent Question - Coin Community Forum

ccrider Valued Member United States 97 Posts	Posted 05/09/2019 5:56 pm I am a little confused on the information given in the 4th Edition of Strike It Rich with Pocket Change. They show the 1983 D LMC on a copper planchet as a recent find but they do not mention what oddities, other than the weight being 3.1 g, the coin contains to make it worth that obscene amount of money? I have looked at ANACS, Coneca, Variety Vista, and Wexler. I can't find anything referencing a 1983 D LMC weighing 3.1 g. Can someone explain the mystery around this particular coin?
