I keep my eyes open, and, maybe most important, remain optimistic. I got 100 mixed date merc dimes this morning at a flea market from a guy I had net seen there before. Great price. They just count on "uninformed" buyers walking in their store" I agree... I see these people at the coin shows dig through and haggling over dealer junk boxes, then see them at the flea market with the coins double or triple in price. Report this Post to the Staff
ragpicker Valued Member United States 198 Posts	Posted 09/11/2008 08:58 am My lucky find was when I bought a three ring binder with about 150 foriegn coins in 2x2s at an Estate sale for $50. When I got home I noticed that the back pocket of the binder had two manila envelopes Each envlope had a coin; one was a 2 Reale and the other was an eight Reale (also known as a piece-of-eight). Each had their own documentation proving that they were for real. I also did some research to verify the fact. I sold the 2 Reale for about $250. Not a bad day treasure hunting that day!!
