I just couldn't resist! Went in looking for Newfie 20 cent pieces, they had none.

So I got 157 of these at 40 cents (US) each.

How many Vickies in the bunch? That's about $.53 cents Cdn. Even Geos are fairly tough to find at 75 cents each at VF.

I never had children, but I've heard tell that you love them no matter how ugly they are.

I counted them but the list is elsewhere. I'll post the numbers in a day or two.

$15.20 US for a complete date set except for the 1858 and 1894.
Now I can start looking for varieties.

Too bad it's not winter.

Both the 1900 & 1907 also have an H (Heaton) mintmark reverse way down bottom between the leaves, so there's 2 coins for each of those dates.

Yes, I haven't even looked for H marks yet, I guess I consider those to be a variety, at least in the years that more than one mint was making coins.

There are at least 76 listed varieties of Canadian large cents, most of them from 1858 through 1899.
