hi guys , I found a Canadian penny with those dates on th RV. The penny also has like hex sides. Never seen this one before. junk One other thing , what year did Canada stop copper pennies. thank you , Ken

Hi Ken

the penny that you found is to commemorate the 125th birthday of Canada. Not junk but not rare either if it's a circulated cent. They made 673 million+. As far as I know Canada has not stopped copper in pennies completely. But after 1997 ( I think) they are only copper plated zinc and then copper plated steel. I could be wrong though so let's see what the experts say.

I agree with malissa It was either 96 or 97 but I think 96. If you want you can mail it to me. The canadian coppers have more copper than the US from 1942 on. 98 %
