I was given this coin as a gift when I was younger from a family member that was in Italy.

I've been searching online but haven't found anything. It's got precise engravings and has a nice weight to it. My apologies if this is in the wrong thread.

As the legends are in English, it is probably a medal designed for appreciation outside of Italy.

It is highly unlikely that it is gold, given the size (looks about the size of a US half dollar?). Probably it is an alloy that is golden in color.

We have some experts here on medals who will eventually give you a positive identification for it.
