A co-worker of mine asked what this might be, it belonged to her father in law. I don't think it is anything, but maybe someone here can identify it. The "token" is inset into a clip, so no back is visible, if it even has one. Thanks for any help.

Looks to be a Bi-centennial silver token .999fine pure silver Don't know if the two GR is for grains or grams. Either way it must be thin. Unless the 2 GR stands for something else. Weight of silver is usually in troy ounces or 10th of ounces. Spot was $14.50 per ounce today So it wouldn't be worth much more then sentimental value

There were thousands of items made and tried to be sold for the Bi-centennial celebration
