Nasty gouge behind the eye, which is not evident in the first pics. Begs the question - pictures of the same coin?

Definitely a different coin than the first picture. If the gash doesn't give it away, the rotation in the holder does. Don't you hate it when you have so many $10 gold pieces that you can't keep them straight?

TOTAL FAIL on my part, the 2nd set of pics (now deleted) were NOT this coin, but came from an archive of pics from a coin I was thinking about bidding on and I wasn't paying attention during upload. Here are some updated and correct pics. Getting old sucks. You guys set me straight!

AU50. Nice color but a ton of contact.

Great reverse. The obverse brings it back to a 61 ish for me.

Very slight wear on the hair buns at the back of Lib's head, and the lock of hair near the ear lobe. Flat compression hit on the '3' in the date. Numerous small nicks and scratches in the fields, that together with the very slight wear on the high points as mentioned, consistent with AU58.

No one has it exactly right, but this is a tricky one. It's straight grade.
