Sorry about the photo. I had to use my magnifying glass at 21 power just to get that. I'll take some more practice shots and see if I can get it better.
Basically the scratches are as wide as you see and go from rim to rim.o n the obverse side it doesn't cut into the rim but on the reverse side it does just a little bit but it goes rim-to-rim as well right in the middle of the coin east to west. It's so old can't tell if somebody just playing around with it or took something scratched it or what.

It's a 55-year-old circulating coin that was damaged somehow in its long life.
