Wow.
Nice note.
Its got to be worth something, that is if you are intersted in selling.
May I ask how you discvored it.

Very interesting bill, and to our forums!

I'm a total novice in terms of currency, so I'm going to throw out a few questions that make that plainly obvious.
If one bill is blank on the back, doesn't that mean the whole sheet was left unprinted on that side?
If memory serves me correctly, aren't there at least two separate print runs for the main design and the bank seal--and possibly ser #?
I can see a sheet possibly missing a one pass on the back, but two passes or more? Two sheets must have really been stuck together--they also got past inspection after cutting.

Hmm,, can't figure out how to quote in these forums, But my mother got this as change, more than ten years ago, (before my current wife) almost gave it back but figured even if it was fake,, it was only a dollar. She sent it to me and said I could have it. I had it checked out back then and was offered $100 for it,, but it is too cool.

Thanks,
Tom

I do see colored threads on the blank side of the note.
If someone made a fake, they certainly wouldn't pass such a big mistake, would they? So I'm perplexed here.

Belt sander, Sanded of the back ink. You can still see some in the lower left of the back. And you can still see the top of the pyramid, where it should be goint up into the SN on the bill at the right location.

Most likely, but it could be a smaller piece of paper.

Three. First the back, then the front, then the overprinted seals and serial numbers. So you can never have an upside down back, only front.

Only one.

After cutting, the notes are 5000 apart. I don't think there's a manual inspection after the overprinting, since it's done by COPE machine.

I tried taking it out of the plastic and blowing it off,, but those threads are still there,, are they part of the "paper", I am aware it is actually printed on cloth. Point out where you see the evidence of sanding. I'm not doubting you, but I don't see what you see. I did a search and there are questions about 1995 single sided bills. If it was sanded I guess I should have taken the $100 huh? Oh well still pretty cool to me.

Funny,, bill looks much better in person. I guess I should calibrate my scanner.

Thanks,
Tom

Its called a blank back note. GO FIGURE. they are listed in the Red Book of paper money.

I have a belt sander maybe I should try this and see if it will do it without tearing up the paper. seams almost impossible to me I should maybe try a DA if anything Looks like swirl marks from a DA Sander but I cant say b/c I see new bills with ink on both sides with the same swirl marks
When in Doubt get it graded!
