Hi there! I'm a YN, and I was into the hobby for a few months before taking a two-year hiatus until March of this year. I'm hoping to learn a lot on this site, especially in regards to grading and variety attribution. I'm interested in a lot, but I love Barber coinage, silver dollars, and large cents

Thanks! I've used Photograde before, but some coins are still difficult for me.

BarberBanker: to the CCF!

Photograde is a great resource.
Unlike the TPGraders themselves, where a professional grading opinion is offered, and may vary, the pictures on Photograde are constant, and never vary.

They may well just be what is needed to provide grading standards stability whole of the TPG industry, because of the unchanging constancy of those pictures.

Unfortunately for the industry, there is the possibility that with Photograde, we can all have access to that constancy, and so less need the services of commercial TPGrading.

Through Photograde, we can all learn to grade for ourselves. That has to be a good thing.

If you are eager to learn, accurate grading is at the absolute core of U.S. coin collecting.

Thanks for the warm welcome! And I've heard a lot about TPGs' inconsistencies, so I definitely agree that grading is a much-needed skill.
