This coin looks very dirty. I used the search tab and asked for cleaning coins. I did read the one asking about using "hot sauce". There were so many I thought I could ask here. What is a good way to clean coins? Are you able to tell condition with it being this dirty? Is this a common coin?
I think I see an "S" on the bottom of the one cent side.

Is there a link that will help me get values? I do understand that condition is important and value is determined by grade.

Never EVER clean your coins! It will significantly lower the value in all cases.

its maybe a 6 to 8 dollar coin as is. Giving it an acetone bath might help a little but really won't increase its value. Pretty worn down. About a G grade in sharpness. Coin has some corrosion also. All Braided hair cents were minted in Philadelphia so no S

Thank you for the good advice. I will not clean my coins!
While reading a few threads, I came across PCGS price guide,
and grading service. I do need to check my coins for possible value. If any seem to be contenders I may check out your sub forum regarding grading opinions.

Would anyone have an opinion on what this one cent coin would grade at?

edit; Thank you jerryc39. I was writing and missed your information. I did notice while on the PCGS site that there was no "S" listed for this coin.

Mostly what has already been said. Don't clean coins but if you want to try a little dip in Acetone, might make it look a bit better.

Looks like the ED has eaten into the obverse surface. Very little value here, might be a good one to experiment with using Verdi-care.

Detail wise I figure it could be graded as a G4 with environmental damage. Not much value as stated previously.
