My 1919 S Wheat penny. Is there any value in this penny over the face value. Just Curious. It's headed to a 2x2 when I get some .

Maybe 20 cents of so, but get advice on treating that oxidation spot.

Concur that this coin might need some treatment for the corrosion - that said still a nice coin in well worn grade.

Unfortunately the 19-s Lincoln is not a biggy . Actually common in a sense . The condition of your coin doesn't help it any . If you bought that coin in a coin shop you would pay 20-30¢ for it .

Over 139 million minted so nothing of any real value.

But it is still a Wheat cent from the teens and it fills a hole in the set.

I actually have found several 19-S coins in pocket change in the last 15 years or so. Not rare, but fun to find!

Nice coin...was it found? Treat the verdigris with some Virgin Olive Oil.
