wrongnumber Pillar of the Community United States 559 Posts	Posted 07/01/2019 4:19 pm A Cud is formed when a piece of the die breaks away & the metal fills the break instead of forming the rim/fields/ bust/etc. They can be small or progress into huge wads where only half the coin is struck properly.
