Hello everyone,

I am trying to find out what Canadian Cent Pieces are rare as I have a bunch I have out while roll search through U.S. Lincoln Cents. They date from 1928-2007. I don;t have all of them, but I am thinking of putting a set together and am wondering which ones should I not lookout for to much.

Just so everyone knows I am not going to start a Large cent set yet, as I am pretty sure I won't find any in the rolls I am searching.

Any help would be great either on here or a link to another site, etc.

Regards,
Stan

here!
The real keys in the 20 cent. 1c coins are 1907H, 1923 and 1925. The rarities from 1928 onward will be die varieties, such as the 1949 "A to denticles", and the "no shoulder fold" cents of 1954-55. 1955 NSF is very rare and the key variety of that period.

We have a few good posts here on the subject. To save you the trouble of a laborious search, I dug up a few for you.
1953-55 Shoulder fold/no shoulder fold cents.
1949 "A to denticles" variety.

Here's a Small Cent topic that showed up on the Modern U.S. Coin forum: https://goccf.com/t/34591&whichpage=1. There's a list of key dates and varieties.

It's a " Cud", the result of a strike from a badly broken die. It's not mine, it's one of the avatars available when you set up your profile.
