I need to let another participant complete this by choosing the correct denomination and date (there are only 2 choices ... you can check Numista).
My internet has been up and down for the last week, and I'd hate to have the responsibility for one of these, then have it go down for 36 hrs like it did last weekend. Not to mention, I have a list of "honey dos" as long as my arm for the next 30 days before school starts, and if I spend even more time on the Forum than I already do, I stand to get in big trouble.

Well, if no one wants to guess, you could ask more questions until we hit 20, then let the clock run out and I'll post another coin.

This should narrow it down.

Is the coins diameter greater than 25mm?

My guess will come next.

Then my guess is a 1948 Saint-Pierre and Miquelon - 1 Franc.

Those two items on the reverse between "1" and "F" are cod filets. Let's all go to Long John Silvers!

Heretofore know as King Loonie Lewey, congratulations!

tdziemia deserves the win. Such an oddball coin, and we still got it. Gamemasters are still skunked. I'll go find a coin for round 6 and get it going later.

You don't see too many of them any more.

I had the great good fortune to work at one for a few months, in a prior lifetime. I would never miss that, but I did like the cod.

Teamwork!
I think it had been narrowed to minted in France and 1925-1950 by the time I took a look ... We had some significant clues from the MASTER that helped quite a bit (and I collected 20th century French colonials as a kid).

Never give up hope!

Wow...thought we were done for. Good job loonie! Excited to start a new (non Joe) round!

(Although admittedly, Joe is very entertaining...don't tell his ego that.)
