I used that because I consider it to be Notgeld, but that's not how Numista lists it. I think anything that's listed under "coins" there should be fair game. I also don't know whether to count smaller issuing authorities as separate from their larger kingdoms.  Also, things exist like Rudolf II being know as just Rudolf or Rudolf I depending on which area you're talking about. Maybe asking if it was part of the Holy Roman Empire would help... Okay, this is the narrowed-down list I have. Many of these have further subdivisions that will have to be figured out if it gets to that. Whether or not some of the issuing entities actually border the Mediterranean Sea is proving to be a little difficult to determine, but it may not be necessary if, for instance, the Italian States can be ruled out altogether. Austria Bohemia Estonia France - Feudal Hungary Italian states Lithuania Livonia Brabant, Duchy of Frisia Liege, Prince-bishopric of Wallachia Netherlands Poland Portugal Aragon, Kingdom of (Spain) Navarre, Kingdom of (Spain) A big question I have is if the GM will say the coin is, for example, from Austria if it was actually issued by a subdivision of Austria like Tyrol...
