New Member From The Empire State Of NY

Hello Fellow coin hunters ! I live in central NY . Although I have not always been active collecting coins but have had interest since 12 when I started. through family I met a collector /dealer who got me interested in coins . I used to take my money I earned and buy pennies and go through them looking for valuable pennies. I used to take these "rare pennies to Ray and ask him about how much they were worth. Almost always he would pick out one or two and tell " this is worth $ 1.00 if you want to sell it ? I would and off the the store to buy more pennies I would go ! I realize now that 60 years later he was just fanning my interest in coins. Over the we became great friends . I now have two gran kids that are interested as well and we spend much time updating our folders. My main interest is in Pennies, Merc dimes ,and Morgan dollars . I also when I have time go metal detecting in search of silver coins. I keep honey bees as well. Retired and doing my best to make NY Great again ....Rick
