There are 6 RPM varieties for 1947-S. Because my dime has a lot of wear, I think it is one of the 6. RPM-006 looks close to me. Would like opinions if you think this is a RPM or PMD. Link has the 6 varieties. Thank you!

One of the ways to attribute an RPM is its position compared to other parts of the design of the coin. You had thought rpm#6 was a possibility for your coin. Try comparing the position of the S in relation to the torch on your coin to what is seen on rpm#6. Your coins S placement is further north than the rpm's. This way you can rule out that particular die.

@ stoneman227 Thank you for your explanation. I went back and looked at the varieties and can see what you are pointing out. The main reason I thought it might be an RPM in my rookie mind was the top part of the S was closed. I will do more research in the future before I post.
