Happy birthday Old Dan. I think it's important that we continue to recognize the happy occasion of your birthday even as we mourn Steve's passing. Good occasions can bring us as close as the tragic ones. Steve's passing has made it very clear to me that we need to appreciate each other while we have the time to do so. Please have a wonderful day and celebrate the life you have been given. I look forward to you sharing your views and insights with us for a very long time to come!
Rest in Peace

Well, the party finally wrapped up and everyone has gone home. The drawing was a success and my one and only great-granddaughter was the one who took the Bufflo's home. Everyone seems happy except the boys. I told them I would make them leather belts with their name on the back, and that seemed to satisfy them.
So all in all, it was a great day after all, and I will now look around and see what to start next, if anything. I'll let you know if its anything earth shaking.
Thanks again for the well wishes and I hope you all have a great day today and a better one tomorrow.
Rest in Peace

Hey OldDan I thought you might get a kick out this. I finally found a copy of the Grizzly King (1925 edition), got it in the mail this afternoon. Inside the book someone wrote: W.A Cooper 3/12/26

Greeting Bill, I knew you were a reading machine, but I didn't know you liked such books as the "Grizzly King". The 1925 edition must have been the one published by Doubleday. If you like this book, you would probably like his other book "Kazan". All about a sled dog and it's travels and adventures. They may have made a picture about is one.

Have a good one and keep the old flag flying.

Yes, it's Doubleday Page & Company for P.F. Collier & Son.

I think it was Doug who mention something about Abe books on the WINS list and since then I've been finding all kinds of books that I've been wanting to get and never could.

Internet can be an amazing tool sometimes.
