This 1907
Barber dime has what looks like a secondary image within the lower loop of the nine, which resembles what is found in a variety of 1907-D, as shown in The Cherrypicker's Guide. I haven't found any references to this type of RPD in the plain 1907. Also, there appears to be something else at the top of the U of UNITED. The coin may just be a common date and nothing else, but I wanted to get member's thoughts.
The coin had been covered in sulfide, and residual marks remain, which are difficult to remove. Attempting to remove them would likely damage the coin.
