Hi all, I managed to grab this one yesterday. I already have one of this reverse type for Vespasian. It is nice to have one of Titus. There is also this reverse type for Domitian but I do not have any hopes of getting one of those soon.
According to my friend's gallery on forum the following examples are known.
One from a friend's excellent collection
One from the Harry Sneh collection
The RIC plate coin
One from an auction in 1925
Unless others have surfaced mine would be the fifth known example.
Titus as Caesar AR Denarius
Rome mint 73 CE
Obv: TCAES IMP VESP PON TR POT CENS; Laureate Head of Titus right
Rev: FIDES PUBL; Hands clasped over caduceus, 2 poppoies and 2 corn ears
RIC 528 (R)[VESP] BMC 91a RSC 87b
