look around liberty on your coin, if it was struck through plastic, with the tons of force needed, the plastic would have pushed the copper down, all of the area around liberty would be indented into the surface. Use some acetone on it, it's just tape residue.

Also, note on the gold coin that the plastic left a non-reflective field up to the very edge of the design elements. On your coin , the tape that was on it touched the higher parts of the design but bridged over and did not affect the lower designs and field that were immediately adjacent
