I've been getting quite a few "foreign coins" the past 2/3 months while searching rolls of Lincoln Cents, Jefferson nickels and Washington quarters.

This 2004 GB 20 Pence I pulled from a roll of Jefferson nickels yesterday.

*I lost .01 cent when I found a Russian Rouble in a Jefferson Roll a few weeks ago!

I sure hope I made it up with this coin

Is it worth at least 6 cents?

I'll go broke getting all of these foreign coins mixed in with the US coinage and not worth the same value!! ( )*

Hey, it's me again - I identified your rouble for you.

And yes, you do make up with this! It's worth 35 cents to you!

Part of my own currency, you have the 20pence coin out of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, £1 and £2. Now a version that is being gradually phased out of circulation, with the revolutionary "jigsaw puzzle" shield design that has been created.

Keep posting your foreign finds!

Thanks Alakazam!

(Interesting in that its 7 sided.)

WOW! a net "profit" finally

Seriously, I have been finding a lot of "foreign" coins lately

I don't know what's going on , but someone is visiting a lot of countries and dumping their change into the coin machines here!(LOL).

I did find a very nice 1992 10 Pence mixed in a roll of George Washington quarters a while ago.

*I tried to match it up based on info about different types of Obverses and Reverses for that year from info I got off of the Net*

I think it's just a normal Obv A and Rev A coin .

Here are some pics.

Well you have got one difference between the two coins.

Look at the Queen's portrait - your 10 pence shows the portrait by Rafael Maklouf, the one used for her appearance as a middle-aged woman.

The 20 pence shows the new "elderly" portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. So you can collect by 'type' in that way if you wish.

There is also the earliest portrait, used in the 70s and before, but I can't remember the artist.

EDIT: The early portrait artist is Christopher Ironside.
