I can't seem to find the significance of this piece or anything special about this date.
Weight is 10.8 grams and it's 3.5 X 3.5 cm.
Does anyone know just what this is and why it was produced in the first place?

Cheers, Bill

Various countries not in the British Commonwealth celebrated a "British Day" including Argentina, Chile and the USA.

I think the USA's day was on December 7.
