Khusro II Drachm - Year Mark? - Coin Community Forum

Ben Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 4208 Posts	Posted 08/18/2019 2:12 pm This is my first Sasanian coin - I have been quietly low balling coins for some time now and finally got one at a price I'm happy with and, by luck, it happens to be one of the highest grade ones I've bid on. I believe it is a drachm of Khusro II (dimensions: 3.83g, AR32), minted in Darabgird. I have no prior experience of identifying these coins and I'm having trouble reading the date mark - it looks a lot like Year 26, but I am not sure. Can anyone help me out? I do like all the writing that goes outside the beading and I've seen some later ones which take that to the extreme, but I'm not sure my budget would stretch to one of those.
