Hi,
I have a 1958 D Wheat penny that appears silver to gold in hue. The coin is not magnetic. I received the coin in change. I would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you,
Susan

Looks to have been plated and used in jewelry.

I think it's mangled from the bezel it was in. Someone also filed down the head, cheek and jaw....probably to make it plate better.

Welcome Susan!

I have to agree, it looks plated and damaged in the handling (by pliers?)

Please stick around and keep asking questions!
