*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***I found a 1990 no mint mark and compared it to the rims of a 1969-S and they look the same. Is it a good coin to compare to? 1969-S on left and 1990 on right.

Can you please post pictures of the obverse and reverse side? The two coins look like Business Strikes to me.
Errers and Varietys.

Handling of coins...
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the coin by the edges and not the FACES of the coin.

I have had quite a few cents that look like proof planchettes but they were not. The cent you are talking about was probably rolled from thick stock. No premiums for those unfortunately.

Ok, so I barely know about proof coins. Proof coins were minted from San Francisco right? Btw, here is the other picture:

FYI: When comparing coins, you need to comparing the same date, mint mark and condition. Your coin is not a proof missing the mint mark...sorry. John1

You'll KNOW if you have a proof coin or not. I've found 2005 S in circulation and it looks and feels so much better than a regular strike. Nice details and super shiny.
