Just acquired a very rare mediaeval coin - a Mary groat from 1553-54.

Hmmm, that can be tough based on the planchet flaws (which were so typical of medieval coins), clipping of the edges, and apparent bends. I suppose that I'd say VG, but this is still just so up in the air. But all in all a nice coin.

I would have said the same - YeOlde on CoinPeople thinks it's an F :) any case, a nice coin..will be picking up more soon.
