This nickel has a very fat date to it. Is this common in nickels or what could this be? Also the word IN is thicker as well. Thanks everyone!

There is a '00P, however I'm not seeing it on your piece. It's always a good idea to show both sides of the coin.

Looks like a Late Die State coin with circulation wear and flattening on the devices.
