Hello Coin Community Members

I have a coin from 1954 SF 5 cent coin. It look shinnier than previous article inquiries of 1953 NSF 5 cent coin.

Canadian-SF-1954-5-Cent-Nickel.-Can-It-Be-Missing-Chrome?

Is this coin still has mintage on it? and how is nickel is different between chrome plated and missing chrome?

Thank you,

Sincerely

Hello John1
Yes I have checked that website. In that website they don't show the example of the missing chrome examples :( I hope I could know rhe way to distinguish the missing chrome coins.

Don't be fooled by this variety, ICCS doesn't grade this anymore any there is a very small market for this.

ICCS quit grading them after they graded a bunch of CIRCULATED coins which had been chemically altered (chrome removed). You can not remove chrome from an uncirculated coin and not see that it has been done. ICCS took the easy way out rather than researching and admitting they were wrong.
