Here is another of these coins with a rim
Cud, but I would like to note that there is no
Machine Doubling,or any other type of Doubling on this coin, yet the image looks to have MD. I use a 10x loupe to examine and to get Macro photos with the loupe mounted in front of the camera lenses. I take two dozen photo at every angle that captures the coin as best as possible, but the images sometimes lie. These discrepancies of light and shadow could be very lucrative were I out to fleece someone.
Coin in hand I seen a combination of true DD and MD on the 'M' with a minor notching now smashed down on the top left joint of the letter. The MD has all but obscured the Hub Doubling on the P and L yet a portion of a division line can be seen on the L. I need to purchase a microscope to get a better look at my coins.
Thanks everyone for your observations, I'll be taking my collection to a coin dealer in San Jose and I will let you know the outcome...
